#3 Fight Foot Odor: Smelly feet in people can be embarrassing. Bleach can eliminate that odor. Mix one gallon of warm water with ½ cup of bleach and soak.
#4 Purify Water: In an emergency…….bleach can be used to purify water. Add small quantity and let stand for 1 hour before consuming.
#5 Clean Plastic Lawn Furniture: Mix one cup bleach to one gallon water to remove stains and mildew from lawn furniture.
#6 Kill Weeds: Pour undiluted bleach in cracks and crevices of your sidewalk to kill weeds and prevent regrowth.
#7 Extend the life of your cut flowers: Add a small amount of bleach (approx.. ¼ teaspoon/ quart water) to keep your flowers fresh and prevent bacterial growth that clouds the water. Be careful, don’t add too much bleach or you could damage the flowers……remember tip #6!
#8 Disinfect Toys: Prevent the spread of germs by cleaning children’s toys. Soak toys for 10 minutes in a dilute solution of ¼ cup bleach to one gallon of water. Then rinse and dry before placing in the toy box.
#9 Clean Glassware : Add a capful of bleach to your dishwasher to make glassware sparkle.
#10 Remove Stains : Soak stubborn stains on old china for an hour in a mixture of 1 teaspoon of bleach to one cup of water, rinse and wipe dry.
#11 Remove Moss and Algae: Scrub away moss and algae from your concrete, brick, stone, stucco, or tile walkways with bleach. Mix one gallon of water wit ¾ cup of bleach.
#12 Clean Counters and Cutting Boards : One teaspoon of bleach diluted in 2 quarts of water can be used to clean counter tops and wood cutting boards. Be careful not to saturate the wood. Wipe in small circles and then wipe with damp paper towel.
